FM-Site Evaluation Presentation Summary

In the final evaluation site visit, I presented a case on acute cholecystitis. The reason for choosing this case is that acute cholecystitis is the first time I seen a real case in family medicine. Providers must consider whether to send the patient to the hospital. Since this is a mild case of acute cholecystitis, antibiotic therapy with a single broad-spectrum antibiotic is adequate. So, order ultrasound is necessary, and decide which antibiotic is more beneficial for the patient also important. Then I also presented my article summary which aims to evaluate the relationship between comorbidities and COVID-19 infection.

My site evaluator does not comment much on my HPI. However, he provides suggestion on my differential diagnosis. He suggests that I should try to list the possible conditions or diseases that could be causing the symptoms. It is based on the facts obtained from the patient’s symptoms, medical history, basic laboratory results, and a physical examination. The evaluator also suggested that I should explain my plans in detail.
